More than 40 years in business happens one customer at a time, and all of it here in Niagara. When you hire a local small business rather than a national outfit, the money stays in the region, and a share of it goes back out to the organisations our own families take part in. That is the part of the job we are least likely to put on a truck.

Each year we donate time, labour and materials to organisations across the Niagara region, and we sponsor youth teams and arts groups in the communities we work in.

Working together with GAF, we donated 5 roofs to Habitat for Humanity Niagara in 2018 and 2 more in 2019.

A donated roof is not a token gesture on a Habitat build. It is one of the largest single line items in the budget, and covering it frees money that goes straight back into finishing the home. Our crews install these roofs to the same standard and with the same materials we put on a paying job, because a family living in a Habitat home needs those 25 years just as much as anyone else.

Minor sport in this region runs on volunteer hours and local sponsorship. Registration fees do not cover ice time, pitch rental, referees or equipment, and without local businesses filling that gap the cost falls on families. We would rather help keep it affordable.

Sponsorship of Welland Soccer Club in our home community, where a good share of our own crew grew up playing.

Ongoing support for the St. Catharines Falcons, one of the region’s junior hockey fixtures.

We support the Kids Race, which gets younger children into organised events regardless of what their family can spend on entry.

Sponsorship of the Crossley improv team. Arts programmes tend to be first cut when a school budget tightens and last to find a sponsor, so we put money there deliberately.

There is a straightforward business answer and an honest one.

The business answer is that a local company gets found through local reputation, and reputation is built where people actually gather. The honest answer is that our staff live in Welland, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Fonthill, their children play in these leagues, and a company that takes work out of a community and puts nothing back is not one we would want to run.
